How adoption works

  • Pick a pothole you know personally. Any city in the Metroplex counts.
  • Give it a name. "Big Gerald." "The Abyss of Northwest Highway." "Karen." (Not Karen.)
  • We email you an official Certificate of Pothole Adoption within one business day.
  • Your pothole and your first name go in the Pothole Registry, here and in the next issue of BIG DEAL.

Satire. Adoption is ceremonial: the pothole stays public property, we're not affiliated with any city, and you get no rights or duties over the road. Please don't fill it with concrete. To report a real pothole, call your city (Dallas: 311).
